A lot of lacquer has peeled off my roof, basically everywhere there was a small chip there is now a patch without lacquer so a thought is to paint the roof a different colour rather than trying to get a match to the red of the rest of the car. Just wondered if anyone has done this and has pictures, I've seen a yellow one with a black roof but not a red one so would be great to get an idea of the appearance.

That does look good in red with the black roof.

I'm definitely liking this idea. If I go for it I guess the next decision is between paint and a wrap, but probably paint to overcome the current issue I have.

That looks good countrycruising.

I'm going to do it (delegate someone else to do it at work with me) in vinyl anthracite wrap, so I can always go back if I want to.

The next decision is whether to paint my Azev A's in the same colour or leave silver?

I agree that the wheels probably need to match the roof.

WTF laugh

But brownie points for preserving the paint line from the rear quarter-light to the corner of the rear screen which is the best option IMO smile

that line is going to be hard to get with wrap, but I have faith in my man who hasn't let me down yet.

It looks great on the silver, I would tie in the wheels and even the light cups in the rear with the roof colour.

Dont you dare!!

Electric blue is too nice a colour to ruin by painting the lid black. The car Mariusz posted up doesnt look good, the black roof lines dont look good on the rear quater panel. The line needs to follow the curve of the rear window.

Yes I agree with you about the line as it could have been done a lot better . My cars booked in for a full re-spray in electric blue with no black roof .
