I've heard this a lot lately ......mint........what does that mean.
Is it the overall condition for its age,is it low miles, Good service history and maintenance or if it's just come out of showroom, or a combination of above?

Concourse condition in my eyes.
Would withstand thorough scrutiny without too many minor faults.

With a user name of marko'polo', I would have thought you'd know better than anyone laugh

Around here, 'mint' usually means it's in good condition/looks tidy/cool, etc. 'Mint' is often replaced with the word 'sick' by the kids these days.

To some people though, 'mint' often means a combination of what you've said, depends on the area you live I think.

Mint was referred to as near as to showroom condition as possible. Nowadays however some peoples idea of mint can be a bit of the mark.

I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time

Mint is in the eye of the beholder. If buying, it means 'just out of the showroom'; if selling, 'no more than three or four hundred dents and scratches, only one mismatched panel, less than a dozen cigarette burns in the upholstery, and a faint smell of cat pee.'

Nice word association there Theresa, I think mint is used to often when people are selling,it's like one of them throw away words ,used to often.
Example ,When your looking to buy and someone describes mint over the phone and when you get there to see it,it falls way below expectations.

Strictly, it refers to a coin that has just been struck (or "minted") but is as yet uncirculated - thus, when related to a car, it *should* mean "as new" or "showroom condition"

However, as mentioned above, it is always in the eyes of the beholder (usually the seller) and is often seen through (very) rose-tinted glasses. It sometimes means "better than a few others I've seen", or simply "quite shiny"

Even the ridiculously good low mileage Plus we sold last year wasn't properly capable of being called mint, although it was by far the best Coupe I've seen in many years

Caveat emptor, always
