Hi Bear
Do you know how many blue plus's (plusses?) are actually left?
Welcome to the mad world of Coupetopia
No idea, but have looked at the 'how many left website'.
Anyone have a breakdown on colours left?
Cheers
Have a look at the Plus register in here. Last updated around March last year, but not anywhere near properly since 2012.
Nevertheless, given that in 2012, around 100 Pluses were still taxed or sorned in the UK, from the peak of 186 in 2001 and now we've dropped to just 86, you can make some reasonable estimate of the total number of electric blue Pluses still around.
The Pluses on the register represented almost half the number on "How many left", with electric blue one of the most common colours. Looking at the number on the register against total taxed/sorned and allowing for the 14% drop in numbers since, it would be reasonable to suggest that there may still exist, around 15-20 electric blue Pluses.
If you look through the Plus register and other threads on this forum, you can probably work out where at least half of them are now.
Realistically though, the small number of Pluses in existence, combined with faster increases in value for premium models (Pluses and LEs) is encouraging people to hang onto them (in addition to the fact that they're highly desirable cars) due to rarity and increasing classic status.
What am I trying to say? You might have to wait a very long time to get an electric blue plus. Plus sales in any colour are getting more and more rare. If you buy a plus in any colour, you'll be delighted.
As a side note, the Plus model still has nearly 50% of it's peak number still surviving after 15 years. This is better than any Coupé Fiat model (though I accept the numbers could be slightly skewed by DVLA recording some premium models as standard 20VTs) and I suspect is better than most mainstream cars.
It says a lot for how good the cars are and for the enthusiasm of it's devotees to keep it alive.
