It seems the standard smart watches, (for example Apple Watch, Moto 360) are quite limited really in usefulness. I mean they need to be connected to your smartphone and all you can really do is check a text/notification/do fitness stuff/answer or reject a call etc. You can't make a call solely from the watch itself. So it really is more or less just a second screen for the phone.
But then you have the Samsung Gear S2 3G/LG Watch Urbane 2 type of watch (and lots of Chinese make ones) which take SIM cards and allow you to make calls, as well as connect to a smartphone. So these are more like mobile phone watches, not just 'smart watches.'
And then you've got some mobile phone watches (they all seem to be Chinese make ones) that are running Android and essentially seem to be smartphones in watch form!
Although I wonder whether you can fully install apps or if it's a somehow basic version of Android.
In terms of desirability, most smart watches look nice, some mobile phone watches look nice and then the Android ones don't really look nice.
Anyway, anyone got either a smart watch or mobile phone watch?
