I know there are many people on this forum who run their own businesses or work for multi national companies.

I was wondering if anyone has been affected by the Brexit descision and if so how?

At my organisation we order a lot of software and hardware. Most of this comes from the US, therefore we have seen a pretty large hike in price for software and hardware. It seems that a combination of the dollar rate and companies using the Brexit as an exscuse to put prices up has caused this...

I work in estate agency, both sales and lettings.

I've had a Hungarian family pull out of a rental property they were planning to move into because they decided to return home after the decision was announced. The rent was £2000pcm and they forfeited a not-inconsiderable deposit in doing so.

We've seen fewer properties selling immediately (as was the norm in this area) but they are still shifting.

My town (Petersfield) is more isolated against the problems than others though. There's a huge supply-demand issue that isn't going to change in the near future.

One of my tenants has to leave Britain because her mother is unwell (terminal). She's Slovakian and needs to return home for (probably) a year or two to be with her. She's really worried that she won't be allowed back in even though she's called this country home for the last 6 years.

She has a well paid job and pays her (above average) rent by herself. Seems unfair to me if she won't be allowed to return.

Make sure she keeps her rental records; if she's got five years' residency it's looking very likely that she'll be allowed to remain.

Of course, we ain't quite out yet - you never know, sense might prevail...

Sense did prevail on June 23rd wink

If my business is going through the aftermath of Brexit please can we vote to leave every year. What I do is very seasonal with August generally producing enquiries from which some convert in September (I provide courses for professional marketing qualifications). This year the enquiry numbers are up substantially and I have more places booked already than there were when courses started last year.

From my experience it doesn't seem Brexit has stopped organisations investing in their people, or people investing in themselves.
