Corridor of Uncertainty
As you may know, we recently moved house. Nothing new there, I admit. However, what is new is that the landlord has Hive installed, presumably so he could "control his home with his phone".
Well, despite having logged in using his account (with his permission, I hasten to add), and despite all devices showing as connected, the heating and hot water are having none of it. Please can someone help before I stick the smug little white boxes up the smug rectum of the smug singer on the smug advert?

Thanks.

Oh, and Bingo!

I don't know how Hive is installed but the landlord of this property (a lovely, intelligent and good-looking bloke called Richard) responded to the previous tenants frustrations with the remote control (turns out it was operator error) that came with the boiler and had a "normal" thermostat fitted in the hall. The stat is wireless. My first thought is are you sure that, whilst you're connected to the Hive system, is it connected to the boiler successfully?

Can you, in the meantime, override Hive by just switching the boiler manually (to avoid an assault charge on all that smugness wink )
