Whilst the weather was not the best last week, we had an enjoyable 4 days in West Wales staying in the seaside village resort of Aberporth.

The coupe performed faultlessly on the way there via the Brecon Beacons and also on the way back via the M4 to Chepstow.
In between, we had day trips to St. David's and Aberystwyth, both of which were enjoyable drives on good quality roads.

Quite noticeable how much cheaper the fuel was (presumably due to being close by to Milford Haven?) including coupe juice E5! shocked

Heh... the petrol in Slovenia was 1.44 Euros/litre last week, versus around 1.70 in Potsdam laugh

Tempting - Presumably both are currently a bit warmer than West Wales in July! smile

36C or more at ground level, but it was shirtsleeve comfortable at a thousand meters. By the time you got above fifteen hundred meters you were looking for gloves; still warm enough but 40kph wind at trim speed has a high chill factor. Moderately windy at altitude, too; I was seeing ground speeds in excess of 65kph witht the wind behind the paraglider.

Neil

p.s. in general, air temperature drops ten degrees celcius for every thousand meters you go up...

p.s. the road through Slovenia from Novo Gorica to Tarvisio is fantastic... slow, a couple of hours for 90km, but stunning scenery (and hot brakes at the end!).
