Anyone fancy a large meeting in the north of england? That would mean that us scottish boys could head down aswell?
What you think and what do people reckon we could do/where to meet etc!

Yeah sounds good, Seems coupes are a bit thin on the ground between preston and Scotland though, I only know of 2 others, and one of them is in bits in Stans garage

I can probably find a location in the lakes if enough people are interested?
I am guessing we want, Easy accessibility from the M6, A good driving road, Nice scenery Decent pub food with big carpark
does this cover it?

Long story Chris but the quick version is we were having a problem with a prebooked campsite and Scotty's comment in an attemept to 'smooth the way' in his wonderfully broad Scottish accent was something long the lines of - 'Just let is in ya miserable fat batch' And yes Scot, I do remember us having to do soe very fast talking to all get our 'noise deposits' back

It's nice to see that even time can't destroy the love we all have for the coupe, but I'm afraid we have got a bit off topic here. Perhaps we could get a bit of a convoy heading south from up here in Scotland. What about you guys in Aberdeen and Dundee?? Would this be to far for you guys to go??? Count me in, money and wife permitting. Would be nice to see some of you guys from south of the border with your cars. And Scotty - don't think your Spider would look too out of place here. Was considering one myself when my car was rear ended just recently.

Is this meet going to be replacing the Scottish meet that was penciled in for Jan/Feb?
I hope not, we've finally been getting some traction with the Scottish events, even most of the people that promise to turn up actually do!
I believe Mattb/Tartandude have something planned for the Jan/Feb Scottish meet (although how many make the journey up to Aberdeen will remain to be seen), and the St. Andrews Scottish Italian car day is in May, so some point between the 2 would be good.

I think one of us might need to go to baz's house and run a string trail to the m74 so that he can follow it on the day!!!
I'm defo up for this meet!! Probably best if us scottish coupe boys book some accomodation?

If you sort a meet out far enough in advance go to the nearest travel lodge and book online and maybe get a good sized room between 4 of you for £15 or £25

Well there seems to be a fair bit of interest, Kirkstone Pass (A592) was one idea I had but it can become unpassable due to snow sometimes, depends on how much of an adventure people want (that would be J40 Penrith then driving down past Ullswater for you Scottish lot)
