Well the day has arrived & here's an update on the weather - um, it's wet!! Actually, although we did have a LOT of rain overnight, where I am is not flooded - in fact I can see out the window the odd patch of sunny field!!

Admittedly, it's worse than yesterday here - big black ominous looking clouds overhead - but it's not exactly a surprise! As Dave said, this is pretty standard Summer weather in Anglesey!!

I'm not too sure where cowboy's place is (will head to Tesco as per the normal plan) & don't fancy the Coed Mawr off road (speed bump) assault course in a lowered Coupe with Modena bumper & "liquorice" spec tyres! Might have a gander on the royalmail site now for cowboy's address, but I can always text Coupedave if I'm the only one in Tesco's - is everybody going to cowboy's then, or will people still be going to Tesco? We don't want a splinter group for this meet as we're only about 8 strong I reckon!

Right, off to do final checks on the Coupe - I'll see you guys later. Chicken or beef for me maybe!

LMAO - Laugh my ass off! As for the meet - I think a lot are going straight to Cowboy's, but as I said in my post, I intend to go to Tesco's at noon, and maybe they guys will come and pick us up in a convoy en route to Anglesey?

As for the sheep worrying comment, there are some newly shorn sheep in the field next door, and I told them yesterday that we were going to have a wet July, and they did look a bit worried - I'm sure that's what you were referring to...

OK guys - here's an idea I've not been to Cowboy's, but I know from his post code it's in Lon Y Bedw, which is just off Coed Mawr road, so people going there will just have to use a combo of TomTom & eyes (look for the multi coloured Coupes!).

I propose to go to Tesco Bangor at noon as per the original plan, thus avoiding missing any people that DO turn up there (i.e. last minute entrants/no TomTom owners), and knackering my tracking/losing fillings/slippings discs in my back going over the speed mountains in Coed Mawr! Maybe then everyone can come from Cowboy's to Tesco car park (the far end - away from the numpties that can't open their car doors without denting the Coupe's rice paper sides !) giving people a chance to grab some drinks/snacks. I would say petrol as well, but I personally wouldn't put Tesco petrol in my lawnmower!

We can then go up the slip road straight over Britannia Bridge (bring your passports! ), and there is a Shell petrol station in Menai Bridge that sells the amber nectar (V-Power) if people need a top up. I'm just setting the video up for the French GP now (12 til 3 today) (a reminder for anyone interested) - go Lewis!

Sorry guys but I'm going to have to pull out of this one. Had some career news on Friday which has set me back and I've tried to get past it but my head just isn't on straight. Hope you all have a good (if a little damp) day and I hope to be on the next one.

Well just got home and thought I would check up before going for my weeman, all in all an enjoyable day out, if a little moist!! with a good bunch of people as usual with a nice lunch and karl once again playing the host back at his house.

I second those comments Dave - my first Coupe meet was an enjoyable (if slightly moist) experience, but it was good to meet some fellow Coupe nutters & I picked up a few ideas from you boys (& Theresa) today.

Actually, the weather was a bit better than I expected & hopefully we can get some of the photos up on the forum soon.

Looking forward to the next meet-up on the Llangefni golf course!

Nice pic there Karl - didn't look too windswept or soaked in that pic considering the weather either - plus you got the old landmark in as well (I mean Menai Bridge NOT my Coupe!)

By 9 o'clock I'd watched the full video of the French GP to confirm Pat's announcement of the result after we got back to yours!
