yeah , but how does it know when the wheels are turning the engine, if you understand.Like when your going down a hill for instance, and you put it in a lower gear and the revs are above idle. sorry I find it hard to explain things.

Oh yeah. It doesn't care about the wheels or gearbox; it just says if it's doing more than about 1500 rpm and the throttle is closed, then it kills the injector pulses. As the engine speed drop, it keeps an eye on it. When it gets to 1500 or so (depends on engine temperature, I think) it does what they call a 'soft start' which presumably feeds in the pulses gradually; when it gets to idle speed it's working as normal.
