This would be my first meet, I dont know how far you guys usually go?
This is my first Coupe meet as well so your not on your own.... Normally i do classic bike meets, RD400 sort of stuff but i doubt an 800 mile journey over 3 days is what were looking at lol

Usually these start with a bit of "bonnets up" action followed by a drive on some nice, winding roads. Ideally, this drive should take in a nice Pub that serves good food. Then it's farewells and head off home. That's a condensed version but you get the idea.

I'm not going to be there and dont want to put a downer on things, but if its a sunny day, you'll be lucky if there are 2 free spaces in the Didsbury's car park at 5pm on a Sunday!
It is hard to understand how a cemetery can raise burial rates and blame it on the cost of living

So come on guy's what's happening. You'll have to get your finger out as it's this weekend! Route sounds good to me but there are some meeting place concerns. See the three quotes below - Following MABR's excellent suggestion we could all meet in the car park of "The Didsbury" pub at around 5pm ish on the Sunday (not forgetting the 'bonnets up' action).
Depending how far we all want to go there's a lovely drive out to the Castle Pub in Castleton in the Peak District (either via Macclesfield/Buxton or via Glossop/Snake Pass). These routes would take almost an hour each way.
Alternatively a bit closer is the Plough and Flail between Mobberley and Wilmslow. They have a big car park and I've previously seen the local MG club using the large area of grass behind the pub to show their cars. Food here is very good, but it does get busy so we'd probably need to book. Estimate about 20 mins each way from Didsbury.
Andy snake pass to castleton gets my vote!

So who's coming, where we meeting, whats the plan I want to decide whether to come to this or go to Donnington. quite fancy this though and it means I don't have to get up as early

I should still be OK for this but 5pm start is no use to me. I'll go with the flow but don't know that area well so I'll leave it to the experts.

ill take a drive into didsbury tonight and see if i can spot a good secondary place to meet... its only 4 miles from where i live so its no problem...
we really need to decide on a time to meet before lunch time tomorrow as i wont be near a computer from then until the meet its self....
regarding where to go it makes no difference to me, i really dont mind, i suppose we can decide when we meet dependent on who is there...

the woodstock isnt a bad idea.... in didsbury the only other place to meet would be opposite the Slug and lettace there is a reasonable size car park there with plenty of bars around.
My sugestion would be to meet at the didsbury and if it is too full then move down the road to opposite the slug....
im not going to be at a PC now until monday so im going to hope that we are on for 5pm and if you all decided to meet some where else i can find you

Well just three coops in the end but it was a nice meet, a bit of bonnet up action and tyre kicking, (and for once I won the cleanest engine bay competition) followed by a drive to a v nice pub in mobberley or somewhere And Paggs brought a mate along that could drink beer on our behalf. If i'd brought some money I would have had dinner there. as it is we had to survive on Nobby's Nuts I thought that was you behind me Paggs on the road back into Knutsford but it was pitch black and I hadn't seen a coupe behind me in the dark before. I was like "is it, isn't it" :?I'd eventually decided it was which is why I blasted away from those roadwork lights Anyway, nice meeting you guys. There's still an hour of the weekend left so enjoy and dont forgetto get along to This Meet in October
