Looks like a decent number are interested, I will leave for another week to see if any more show interest then sort a route / date etc, Thinking maybe a run up the snake pass through glossop and back down woodhead pass taking in two of the best driving roads around, will be some fantastic photo opportunities with the best cars around in the best scenery, then maybe a pub lunch, but fully open to suggestions so if you have any alternatives or ideas and any dates in mind please shout up.

HI All thanks for the response, looks like a go for this meet then, Any preference on dates, how about Sunday 16th December or Sunday 13th January.

As some are coming South and Some North, what about meeting just off junction 31 of the M1, Theres a big layby as soon as you leave the M1 on the left 50yds towards Worksop on the A57. We can then shoot down the new A57 into Sheffield and onto the Snake, drive the full length to Glossop, cross over to the Woodhead pass and back over to Sheffield, if anyone wants a pub lunch after that there is a nice place called the Red Lion Hotel at Todwick with a big carpark to accomodate all the Coupes, its about half a mile from the start location, we could even meet there first , order lunch and then go on the drive.
Anyway it's upto you all so please feel free to suggest alternative dates, runs, start points etc.

sounds a good idea meeting at M1 jct 31 , i think going to the pub last would be better then if some people dont fancy it they dont have to.

December 16th would be the best one for me, I cant make the 9th. January would be fine too, nothing booked there yet.

So how does the 16th sound? Slim chance now I could make the 9th, but doubtful.

Hi all, iv'e had a couple of calls asking for the January date and a few of you have indicated you would be ok with this, so can we have a poll, The Second Sunday in January, the 13th, say a 10 o'clock meet.
Would everyone be up for this ?
It would give us plenty of time to sort numbers and arrange to attend.

Please let me know and we can go with the majority decision, either this date or any alternative put forward.

If we can commit either way by the end of the week we can plan it in.

Also does anyone want a pub lunch, if so please say and i can pre book for all.

Hi All, looks like we are on for this Sunday,
Is a 10 o'clock meet still ok with everyone.
Meeting place as suggested just off Junction 31 M1, head for Worksop on A57, after about 50 yards there is a left turn with a signpost for a garden centre, there is more room there than in the layby, its just before the layby.

Do you still want to run the snake and woodhead ?
I will print off some route notes for about ten cars, and increase if more confirm they are coming.

I might be up for this if I get the coupe back from the garage in time! Though with a new head gasket, pistons, rings etc I will have to take it easy and lay off the loud pedal

My chances of making it have increased to about 60% after curing my oil pressure problem!

Looks like a few are coming so i will be there for 10am, see you all there.
Also metal man, nobody has indicated they wanted lunch so i have not booked any, when we meet i'll check who is interested and we can choose a location if enough want to come, there are quite a few in the area where we could just turn up an eat or just get together for a drink and a chat.
Looking forward to seeing some other coupe owners !!

Cool Clay, where in notts are you based, i hardly see any coupes in my area and just a few when i go over to the darkside into Yorks.

mattw and metalman seem definates for Sunday and i know of one other who is meeting us on route so just need the others to confirm, the more the better will definatly bring my camera, should get some ace shots on the snake with just Coupes on the road.

hucknall mate, there is only 2 coops and my mate is the owner of the other one

Not to far away then, i think i'm the only coupe in Worksop , but i quite like it that way, stands out from the normal faceless euro crap.

Funnily enough my miisus hasn't driven mine either, i'm trying to keep it that way as her accident record is not good, usually hits stationary objects too, like the school gatepost twice, her dads caravan and her dads car both on the drive among numerous other things. C U Sunday. D.

Ahh the joys of coupe ownership!!
Turn up for my first meet and breakdown
Anyway, the very nice man from the AA turned up within 45 minutes and I was back home by 12 o'clock.
I seems I have a fueling problem which results in non starting when the engine is warm - something to do with the ECU needing to re-adjust itself following all the work I've had done.
Hopefully all will be well by the time of the next meet.

Sorry I couldn't make it guys, family stuff got in the way.

Thanks all of you for attending and i'm also glad the breakdowns were not serious, had a great time and really enjoyed meeting you all and seeing the Coupes going for it on the snake pass.
I'm sure we will meet up at another meet in the future.

Got some really nice pictures of the Coupes in the pub carpark if anyone wants a copy, or can i post on here, if so can someone let me know how and also let me know if you want the photo on as it shows some of the number plates.
