Ross i'm trying to make a thread for people who attended the day or would like to know the graphical difference between say a GTiR and GT28RS.

I did a comparison of me vs Suba at home. Be good to see what yours looks like (I'd like to see Alessandro & Highwaymans too)

I didn't run my car. \:\( It was/is still not 100%.

Anyhow here are some graphs!

Given that Bockers car is almost standard bar the chip it's it funny how the bigger turbo cars compare?

Sorry Kenno, meant Suba vs me comparison (not you).

Alessandro's car looks mental, same as mine to just after 3krpm and then wham, its away. Do you have boost graphs aswell or just power?

Hi Ken,

I'd be interested in a comparison with mine and a GT28R RS or RSR Turbo if that's possible?

Thanks for sorting this out for us.

Cheers,

Mark

Just power i'm afraid.

Yep Alessandro's car was certainly fast and flexible when I drove it. He runs 1.4Bar, has C&B's, a TI head and gapless rings.

1.35 on the rollers.
lol \:\)
not holding boost very well up the rev range tho for some reason it drops quite a bit at redline.

Ken, I have a graph of my coupé when it was standard done at SRR. If you or anyone wants to see how different setups look over standard I'll send it to you?

Cheers, Chris. \:\)

Thanks Ken \:D !

Webbo's is very similar to mine, but it looks like mine holds boost better at higher revs. Si's seems the opposite, with better spool up/low rev boost but very little in it at the top end (mind you, I'm not sure that should really be the case considering the differences in our set ups \:\? !)

Here's a 3 minute video compilation of some power runs. Scroll to the bottom of the page \:\)

If you listen carefully you can hear Paddy's aux belt snap in the first clip... very lucky!!! You can also hear my car missfiring as it comes on boost and on the higher resolution version you can see my boost and water injection leak (thanks John for spotting that)!!! That explains why it was only holding 1.3bar at redline when it should be 1.5bar!!

Could have something to do with the C&B cams you're running Phil? I can't think why I would spool quicker than you're car - my car felt noticeably better spool up wise with the GTI-R.

Could be Si, or I have different settings on my Greddy. I'm not sure whether PT actually changed it when they mapped the Unichip, or just used whatever I had set it to and mapped to that \:\? .

I'm guessing that I can't change them without messing up the mapping now?

I think they would have changed them Phil. What gain are you running - PT tend to set the start boost low and the gain high - over 20%.

Not sure about gain Si, but I'll check at the weekend.

John - Keith at Auto Integrale fitted the cams as part of my rebuild last year ;\) .

What sort of Gain to PT set to Si? I seem to be able to set mine really high with no spiking these days \:\?

By really high I mean 27% with absolutely no overboost, not tried it higher yet...

Set is around 52

Amazing how similar the curves are. I now have the standard Chip back in and have a RR session planned for 15 Jan. Will be very interested to see how it compares.
