Went to the rollers today. Went to a new one in the area, that a mate recommended.

Quite what i expected. They didnt measure the fuelling because of my wideband.

What everyone think?

Ross

If you held the boost the same to the redline you would have the perfect graph ;\)

I presume you are tailing the boost off after 5500 - 6000rpm?

erroneous 1500rpm readings as well...

more torque at 1500 rpm than at 2500 rpm.

OK i'm just bored now \:D

Thats to do with him holding the car at 1500rpm, then releasing the rollers.

The boost tails from 1.3 to 1.2 between 5k to 6k.

No question, that is the best GT28R coupe this forum has ever seen. In fact I dare say that is the most driveable/powerful combination out there...10/10 Ross \:\)

Nice power \:\) Can u give me the spec of the engine?
The torque curve is going a little bit up and down between 3-4000 rpm. What EBC are you using?

I dont know why it done that tbh. I would always argue that electronic boost controllers dont work the same on the rollers as they do on the road. I originally got mines setup on the rollers and when i used it on the road it was crap. Its a false load the rollers is putting on it. On the road the boost is flat.

maybe because the rollers are constantly tweaking the load every 3 miliseconds?

i agree, rollers are totally different to the road, you are probably running 150bhp on the road \:P

come on ross give us the whole spec, I want to compare \:\)

i think this is your spec

GT28R
full 3" exhaust
stage 2 TI head
Fully balanced engine
EVO FMIC
SIP
GTEC2 revised
Greddy EBC

that about right?

Are you running standard CR?

Its a stage 2/3 accoring to barbz.

Its not a gtech2 im running.

I dont know about the compression. I would doubt it due to the driveability off boost.

I shall clarify \:D The best GT28R torque/power curve goes to Ross with amazing spool and powerband \:P

Si does have a very very nice suspension/brake kit which will be fantastic on the track \:#

This is the same graph that flea produced last time, except it now shows my new figures. Would be interesting to see the latest graph for Suba and Sheikh's latest one aswell.

Why oh why do RR companies insist on using different scales for power and torque

yet again, we have a torque plot that crosses the power plot at the wrong rpm

It gives a slightly skewed picture of whats actually happening

Still an impressive graph for a GT28R - would be interesting to plot my graph over the top - I bet you're making 100bhp more than me at some points. If only you could hold your boost after 5,500rpm, but I guess if you could, you wouldn't be getting boost by 3,000rpm

EDIT - not quite - here's the comparative figures

Revs___Ross___Nigel
3k_____140____94
3.5k___160____141
4k_____225____206
4.5k___260____270
5k_____290____309
5.5k___320____355
6k_____330____387
6.5k___330____401
7k_____334____405
7.5k___boom___400

As I've said many times before, as well driven 300 - 330bhp Coupe will easily hold its own against a 400bhp Coupe, purely because of when and how the power is delivered. Its only on a track or a seriously open road that I would make any gains.

I'd be up for that!!

Also, what you think it does to the "picture" by the wrong switchover? I did notice that myself.
