How comes he's not listed on the user list anymore and looking at his old posts it says he was banned -8/03/08?

Must have just happened recently as I looked up his profile just a couple of days ago .

Just put carlt in the search box and under location by his name on his old posts it says banned from FCCUK 08/03/08. Why was he banned then?

He's not even on the list of users any more

I`m not sure . I was searching his posts to see if i`d missed a big argument but it must have been through PM`s,if there was any trouble that is.

Well I just searched on his user name and all his old posts are there as normal. Last one being the 8th.

Yeah but no posts after 8th when he was banned. You can still see his old posts but he's not listed as a user anymore. Personally I'm not shedding any tears for his absence but my curiosity is now awakened

carl has done more on this forum for most and i wouldnt be here or have a coop if it wasnt for his help.

There are plenty of people who have coupe know how. Carlt chopped too many perfectly good coops for my liking and was far too damning of everyone elses opinion. I think the forum is a much more balanced and pleasant environment now

thats personal opoinion, carl had a buisness to run and no-one would want old 2nd hand parts

he contributed to 70% of the running of these cars

As already mentioned, Carl has a business to run. If Carl didnt do it, someone else would have. At least with Carl he 100% straight with what your getting. Look at the thread about the bloke on ebay people are having constant trouble with as an example of how not to sell parts.

I reckon 50% of the coupes on this forum would be dead by now if it wasnt for his supply of parts. Mine certainly would by now.

And yes Carl had some pretty strong opinions, but do you not think these have been formed from spending the last how ever many years breaking/fixing/selling these cars?

Yeah - he didn't do it out of the goodness of his heart though did he? One of his last posts says he was going to go off and chop up alfa's now - a money lover not a coupe lover which is what this forum should be about surely? Also, you couldn't post anything on here at one point without him popping in stating his opinions as fact and slating everything you said. He once told me I was ripped off for paying £800 for my 20VT. There are plenty of other business owners on here selling stuff without calling people names and slagging off their opinions.

If a moderator wishes to pass comment on this then they will, but AFAIK most of us believe it is up to the Admin to deal with these situations. As to whether they explain anything is up to them, if they wish to at all.

This thread has been going for nearly 48 hours and not one Mod has contributed.

If something's happened then surely Forum Members should be informed?

Carlt is a character and opinionated which isn't necessarily a bad thing. As has already been said, he's kept many peoples coop on the road.
