Took the car to a RWYB on sunday.... what a pants day.
It rained ALL morning and the track finally opened at 1pm.
However saw some top Evos!
680BHP Black Evo 8 was adjusting boost settings in the drifting section out back, WOW what a noise the popping can literally shake cars for acres around!!
Track was stone cold when I got my car on, But to put things into perspective, Condition wise...
Andy Nicholls mad Rover / MG 25 thing...
12.6 @ 110.
THAT Evo 8 -
12.2
E46 M3
15.5
Nobody could get traction, I saw a Renault 5 Gt Turbo spin in 1,2,3 and 4!
Saw a white Astra GTE with some HUGE spec blow his engine accross the line under 13 at 128mph,... Smoke everywhere and track shut for half hr...
Then I get my run, Paired up against another solo runner - Andy Nicholls, He had issues so pulled out the que, Alas I went against a 95 Corsa that scared me TBH, Saw it run well when it had traction earlier in the day.. It was stripped and running a 2000cc redtop on throttle bodies,.
Having a cracked manifold and smokey seals on my tubby didnt help me thinking I was gonna loose.....
Green lights, Im off, Crap reaction by me means he has 1 length... then I have some traction and I steam past with ease, passing at 99mph in 14.2.... to his 14.9
3rd was flat as a pancake too?? well felt a tad flat..
Most cars were getting rank times taht I presume were due too the weather...
In all I was happy with a 14.2 with the defects I have and JUST 260horses... and no fettled boost...

14.2 is a good result, especially if it's slippy

2.36 60ft is an ok time for someone in the dry. You must have been lucky and found traction. I tried it in the rain once.... 2.8 60ft and wheel spinned up to 80mph and just coasted over the line.... still got 15.1 Ross
