Is there a certain gear you're supposed to have your car in on a rr? only i spoke to a mate of mine who had his evo on the same dyno and he said they did his in 4th gear as they did mine and he said this is wrong???? looking at the graphs of the other rr readouts on here on one of the graphs at the bottom it said gear 3 Any thought boys....

Each Dyno manufacturer is different, but one of the main reasons why I always run the Coupé in 4th is to try prevent wheelspin and to give a more accurate boost and torque figure. You tend to find that if you run a Coupé in 3rd gear you get slightly more torque but less BHP and the other way around in 4th.
Of course each car manufacturer is different, some vehicles are best run in 3rd.

Steve at Track'n'Road said he always runs cars in top gear no matter what. When i asked him why he simply stated "Gives more accurate parasitic losses".
He ran an F1 car on there in top gear, WELL over 200mph apparently
