Hi, just joined up to the forum as looking for a coupe. Seriously considered one a couple of years back but opted for a Corrado VR6. Fancy a change now though and looked at two this afternoon.
Was pretty impressed to be honest. Main thing that bothered me were the seats - just not supportive enough at all and a bit of a disapointment compared to the Corrado. Were different seats an option on the Coupe?? If so that's something I'll look out for.
B**dy fast, gorgeous and I've definitely made my mind up to get one. Handling wasn't maybe quite up to what I'm used to but pretty good - What is the best and cheapest way to firm them up a bit?

Thanks for any help with this.

Will

Better seats in the LE and Plus versions (Recaros) and some late 'ordinary' 20vt too...depends on your budget...any of the above in good nick will probably cost £6k+

If you want a modded car and have a decent amount to spend, maybe drop JimO a PM (he has recaro style front seats in his and is considering selling)

Hi mate,

Recaro seats came as standard on 'Limited Edition' and 'Turbo Plus' style coops, but these are lots rarer than a bog standard 20vt, also a lot more expensive, can put 2 grand on the asking price.

I run Bilstein sport suspension and Eibach springs on mine. Cost me 450 and 100 GBP pounds respectivly and really firms up the ride.

I have also heard that a strut brace can improve handling by reducing understeer considerably, and is top of my wish list at the mo, expect to pay around a ton for one. (though they also come as standard on the special edition models mentioned above)

All parts available from Alternative Autos

Steve

You might want to look at the seats in Kenno's coop. He has some really nice recaros, they are really supportive.

Otherwise I also have Bilstein/Eibach setup and the handling is superb. As I have a plus edition, the strut brace was standard to cant say how much it helps.

Consider uprated brake disks and pads such as pagid if can budget it in. IMO you will be very happy with the coop..

Plan the costs of the extras you want when making the final decision. Its very rewarding being coop owner.

Had a 20VT before the Plus and the strut brace makes a big difference. No more manic torque steer moments, feels much tighter.

He has the seats from the old Group Buy. Same as mine

Looks like the Group buy this time is a no go'er though
