I drop my car off at my grandmothers house occasionally and make her wash it, more so during winter when the salt deposits are pretty tough to remove - then, and only then, do I give her some money that allows her to the central heating on more frequently during the winter.
If more people thought like me the world would be a happier place Nasty piece of work! You certainly are a confused individual.

I think you'll find it's quite the opposite my fellow fccuk chum. Just because I didn't put a at the end, you took it literally. This proves how easily context can be confused over the internet, especially on forums. Anyhow, we're going off topic here. I'm cleaning my car myself when it gets warm, until such time, I will continue taking it to my eastern european 'friends'. What HAVE you started Nigel?!?

Don't get me wrong, I don't see it as an ejoyable task, its just not such a big deal do get a bucket out and spent a few minutes cleaning a car. It's a tiny car anyway. I definitely don't enjoy cleaning the wife's Mondeo, it takes twice as long!

I didn't clean mine. I hear we may have more snow on the way so I'm waiting until that's passed, and all the grit on the roads has been washed away by rain.
I'll then take my Couple to a car wash and get a full under-car wash done before finishing it off myself at home.

My car unfortunately sits under a holly tree and the poor little birds that have had nothing to eat for the last few weeks have been feasting on the berries. That's not so bad, I like nature and appreciate our little feathered friends need to eat but my car is totally covered in red berry bird s*** That tree is comming down as soon as the weather warms up, nature can find another tree to feast and crap out of.

Washed my Coupe, then my Stilo and then my mother's Polo on the Sunday. Had enough after that so the Mrs had to go without on her Beetle I try to clean both my cars twice a week, weather depending naturally. The Coupe usually gets a buff with the DA polisher every other week.

Nah, just sans-girlfriendI have to chuckle at the division in opinion these threads inevitably generate - as much as I'm very keen on keeping my Coupé as minty fresh & pristine as possible I realise others aren't so fussed and that's fine, each to their own as has been said. I look on it as (mainly) protecting my investment though - a pristine and impeccably clean car will damn-near sell itself and possibly for a bit more money than just an "average" one and for me at least a few hundred quid makes a difference. I'd also prefer to have someone come to look at the car and be blown-away than have them picking faults while I try to defend with the old "it is a 10 year old car you know..." type lines. At the other end of the spectrum I know a girl who's had a string of "nice" cars (a Puma, MGF & a couple of MR2's to name a few) and always abuses them, NEVER cleans them and after a year ish she puts them up for sale (still without being cleaned). Suffice to say she either doesn't get a buyer or has to let them go for a pittance. Three of them though she wrote-off before they actually sold, so that helped with the 'problem' in a way I guess. She's far from loaded but she's literally wasted thousands on the resale value of her cars
She's GONE!

Yea washed and polished mine then took it for a well needed drive and treated it her to a new Sony Bluetooth head unit. Put it back in the garage, washed the punto and then it rained. At least I got the coupe back in the garage first.
