I'm pretty sure that last years membership (2009/10) for me ran out at the beginning of April ... is there anyway I can confirm that?

I'm also pretty sure that, in the past, I've always received a letter to remind me to renew ... but nothing has come through (and hence my issue above!). Will those letters still be going out (with the new online process available)?

I'm keen to make sure that I remain a fully paid-up member

Dave yes your membershup has run out. Im still finishing up the renewal part of the online system. Until then think of it as a freebe. You will get an email on the 1st of May with a weblink to renew your membership

I have just had a look Dave and yes it did.

The new system will do this automatically in future, rather than having letters sent out manually as in the past.

The club is currently bringing the whole system on line, but as you will know, new systems take time.

If any one else is concerned about when their membership runs out, the expiry date is written on the back of the card.

As Mario said a few posts up, you will be notified in due course, so don't worry.

From your number I imagine it expires sometime this month, so treat it as a bonus.

Everyone whos membership has expired you now have free membership until the new system is sorted. I have a backlog of 80 renewals for this month!

It takes 10/15 days to get your membership pack out. However its usually a lot sooner.

I will be processing account tomorrow so once i see your payment is active i will enable you on the forum then.

lol your complaining abt a two wk wait, some of us old timers on here had to wait for about 6 months back in the day.

Six months? Six months? Eee, we used to *dream* of only waiting six months. When I were a lad, some of us grew up, had children, watched them buy coupes and apply for membership before we got our membership packs.

That's because a human volunteer has to change your permissions, and he also has to earn a living by going to work.

We do say allow up to 28 days for memberships to be processed.

It usually takes much less.
