I don't undertand how a cardboard box with QUAIFE written on it click to enlarge will transform a 300-350 bhp coupe into a "complete animal" ?

you not thick Dave..

i assumed your just having a laugh.

im having a Quaife fitted to my car.

as the Quaife is an uprated LSD and after going out in JBT's car at spa, the level of grip ect that his car gave showed this would be a worth while upgrade.

And the improvement was all down to the Quaife? Not any other suspension/engine/wheel/tyre differeneces? And what do you do with the viscodrive, chuck it away and replace it with the Quaife, or are there two Quaife units, one for each wheel to replace the CV joint? See, I am thick, really wink

Dave, from what I have seen, the viscous drive is deleted and the Quaife diff replaces the actual diff inside the gearbox.

from what i could tell, the quaife makes a massive difference!!
the Visco gets binned along with the OE diff, then the quaife & replacment seal gets put in.
when it gets fitted i will take MANY photos to show whats what to make life easy in life!!
you will see!
and like i said, your not thick... juat special laugh
LOL

The diff doesn't make cornering better IMO.
Take the French lad Regis and Barbz at spa.
They cornered faster than me so it's down to the minerals.

I backed off as I was reaching speeds I was uncomfortable and unfamiliar with.

Fitting wise this will be a classic case of why one should seek advice.
Watch this space.

You stuck with it mate, when many, many people would have thrown in the towel. That's true commitment, and why it's a cracking read wink

If it was not for the forum and people I have met and people who have helped that car would be in bits and bunt to the ground then laid to rest in the scarp heap.

Great to see its all up and running now Marco.

Good luck with it all and keep us posted,

Now you know how much work, stress and money goes into it, this is why it is alot easier and cheaper to buy one thats already done, is your Forged too?

Have you set a date for the mapping?

Now in the 400+ bhp club!

Alright mate!

see, the stree was all involed with the componets used.
I.E bent crank, damameged block ect.

mine is not forged, is a fully lightned and balanced.

the joy about my build is.. ive built it.

if some one else was doing this, then it would of cost them a sh*t load more in man hours.

i would always do it my self.
thats why i did all my courses and got my tickects!

if i was not able to do it my self..
then buying some thing like your would be the best option.

ive worked out in balls deep around 10k +

mapping is set for around the 30th!
