Why laugh it's not a bad example and reasonably priced if it's mint and producing decent power?

Yeah don't see what there is to laugh about, looks tidy enough and well modded?

Looks original from the outside aswell bar the wheels in the photograph so he's right saying sought after in that condition

lot of £££ for a 14 yr old car though, imo....

Mine will be up for more than that when it's all finished and I'm confident it would fetch it too!

Saying that there's lots to be done to it yet and I love it a bit too much to even think about parting ways

in fairness yours seems to be way beyond the usual standard out there Pete, and clearly cherished. same for diddy's - but when you can get a lovely LE for £3.5k (djmobi's) the car in that particular ad seems quite high - only my opinion though and, given my troubles, clearly worthless

i nearly sold mine for 600 quid.. but needed a few things doing.. so glad i didnt though.

From the title of this thread I was expecting a Coupe with an ironing board spoiler, three spoke alloys, covered in stickers, price tag of £20k. Instead, this is a nice car.

Pete's certainly is a very high standard of stock-ish 16vt whereas mine's a lot little more modded but to the same standard without a doubt.

I think cherished, mint examples should hold their value personally but it's what people want to pay.

this thread is baffling.

here we have a well sorted, and tuned 16vt, clean and straight and going for 2k, yet its deemed as too much.

and yet, the 'le' fanclub on this forum will pay 3,4, and 5k + for such minor little details which only someone in the know would be able to notice against a standard 20vt.

It's from a garage, will always be more expensive.

I'd laugh at the quality of the pictures though, I can never work out why people go to the trouble of advertising it then fall over on such a basic detail.

Wasn't this car bid up to a similar price when listed by the same vendor on eBay last autumn? It had the same description and out of date photos then.

When the vendor has probably had to take photos of that MGF they've also listed on PH why didn't they take a new photo of the Coupe too so we can see what it looks like now on the wheels that it now has and had when it was listed on eBay last year?

Could look awful now! How hard is it really to take some semi-decent pics of a car for an advert. I mean come on...

If it's as good as the advert description has made it out to be, then that's a fair price for the spec really.

I just thought the presentation of the add and the very poor photos were laughable.The car may be a sound one.
The side on photo looks like cartoon drawing.
