The Helix one appears to have a further reinforcing plate around it, I don't know about any differences in clamp loads.

I've found it easier to get hold of Helix parts where I'm at, so had to ask. Suppliers of Helix parts doesn't seem willnig to share much information about the products. Described as "Group N" clutch.

Clutch is without doubt the worst job to do on a Coupe, I have done several now and they are just very tight for space.No specialist tools needed except for a clutch aligning tool that you would use for any clutch change job. I have the walkers paddle clutch and although I've only done a few miles on it it appears to be light in use albeit very on off but still driveable so for me gets the big thumbs up.

No way I'd do this myself. It's a two man job (powerfiat did mine a while ago) and it's not easy....  I dont think you need special tools - but axle stands and a trolley jack would not get the car high enough IMO.
Yup I would agree with that, Rog doesn't enjoy changing them, and he's done loads, so for the rest of us I suspect it would be a bitch of a job!

Now I have another problem  Found the clutch at the right price but they won't supply outside UK. Do you know any company that will do a cheap pick up service instead so I can pay for the delivery from my end ?

Thank you Suba. Yes , I'm from DK. I just phoned the guy and he will look into the price for shipping to DK. Anyway this was an option for a standard clutch and I am willing to buy this if I can not get any other quote from Power Fiat or Torque Italia that have not answered to my e-mails yet If price from Power Fiat or Torque Italia comes and it's ok , I'll get one from there ... so let's hope one of them will answer to my e-mails. Need this clutch badly as we are preparing the car for an audio show and want to change clutch in time.

Crap - I thought that's where Rog got his parts from (and my GTA clutch came from Rog). Try and get hold of him + ask him I guess. I know Desira do Fiat and Alfa parts - Begbie gave me their number, but I dont have it anymore - so you could always PM him. Cost wise I dont think it much different from the standard one.

You CAN do the clutch yourself on your own and with axle stands - I know cos I've done it.
Mind you it is a bitch of a job and you will need to do it in summer cos you'll be outside for a good week.
Only "special" tool you will need is for clutch alignment.
Its vital you download a FIAT workshop manual.

I bought a cheap plastic universal one from Halfrauds - about £12 I think. I would however recommend spending more on this tool and getting a decent one.
** Make sure you take the flywheel OFF and get it skimmed, I bought a lightened and balanced one from Barbz. **

I'd suggest you get an accomplice to help, if you are going to attempt this on your own on your driveway you'll find the gearbox is heavy to man handle in & out of the engine bay

Jamie - it is very heavy - and i would have loved an extra pair of hands especially when trying to put back on.
skins, this reminds me - if you can get hold of them other useful tools...
1. Gearbox "cradle" and
2. engine support bar.

suba your GTA clutch came from desira.
steve only sells the standard 20vt clutch, but he can get pretty much anything you need within reason.

@Rog  Desira ? What is this who is this ? And yes , Steve told me to send him an e-mail (which I did) with the things I need and he will get back to me as soon as he has something. Appreciate your help ! My clutch will be changed by Fiat , as I am pretty new around Coupe and don't know any decent garrage that can do the work better. I would do it myself also but as I heard it's not so much space there to have it changed and I would preffer to have warranty from somewhere if something goes wrong... better blame others than myself. Last 3 clutches I changed were on japan cars and was not quite so difficult , beside a Honda that was pain in the a$$. I am planing a trip to UK to PowerFiat in the spring to have the car checked from A to Z and see what it's the specialists opinion on what I need to change more or to fix.

not heavy when you are not screwed up on your back trying to locate gearbox!
Also it makes it alot easier if you remove threaded dowels between bell housing as gearbox can then be 'spun' to remove from inner wing area.

IMO (and experience) anywhere could do a better job than a FIAT main dealer. And anywhere else will be cheaper.

i bought a universal clutch fitting tool, musht have been an imperial universal fitting tool, as I had to do it twice the second time aligning it with my calibrated eyes!! Cheap tool no good.
