As advertsied on Pistonheads. From the description and photos, it seems pretty tidy.

Being based in Sheffield, Sussex is quite a drive, so I wondered what you fellas thought of this before I drag myself down there to view it?

In advance, cheers.

We can all have a look at it when we're at the Brighton meet on Sunday?! Seriously, it looks good for the money imho, but as always, got to see, hear and feel it in the flesh.

Alternatively, I've got a nice sprint blue 20vt for sale in the for sale thread?

Sorry Dan, but the three colours that the wife is not keen on are Broom Yellow, Sprint Blue, and Verdi Green.

Sorry mate. (oh, the car is for my boss, erm, I mean wife).

smile

Haha fair enough, I had to try the blatant plug or I'll never sell her!

Maybe I should try a new line in trousers so you can experience the feeling of wearing them? wink

My first coop was a sprinty so I'll always look favourably on that colour love

Owned by a chap who works at Munich Legends in Tumbridge Wells.

He's only owned the car for around 14 months. During which time he has done around 5000 miles. The only service work he has done is an oil & filter change.

He's not sure of the oil consumption, but says he tops it up every couple of months. Not quite sure if that is good or bad based upon his low mileage???

Here's the thing that I would like some help with please guys, and that's the oil pressure....

I asked him about oil pressure from cold, hot idle, and under acceleration. Here is what he said.

At cold idle? "To the top"
At hot idle? "Between 1/4 & 1/2"
Under acceleration? "To the top"

Chaps, is that good or bad? Is he pulling my chain with those pressures, and the answers he has given means that he doesn't really know? They all sound a bit too vague to me.

MOT is untill the end of August, and even though he works in a garage, he won't be putting another 12 month MOT on it. Alarm bells are ringing here. Am I being paranoid?

I am told that everything is tip-top beside someone keying it down one side, a in-op electric window, (motor? switch?), and the rocker cover gasket is leaking.

Thoughts please chaps?

cheers.

I forgot to add. There is a slight knocking from the NSF when going over bumps. Drop link / ARB or wishbone bushes?

Dubious oil pressure and recent service history. As 1/2 is 1.5 bar and it hot idles between 1/4 nd 1/2 doesn't sound promising. The fact he works in a garage and won't put a years mot on is also a worry.

Buy the sprinty, no doubts there, new MOT, turbo and regularly serviced! thumb
