Sprint blue Coop

I've had the car only two days and I really love it so far, however, I seem to have missed a slight problem on the day I picked the car up. The central locking only works half the time from the key fob. It sounds as if the passenger door tries to lock, then unlocks itself again. Other times it works fine.

Is this a common problem with coops? Any advice would be much appreciated!

try using the key on both doors to lock and unlock them. Sometimes something just seems to get stuck, Ive had it on mine occassionally and that seemed to sort it.

Thanks JKD, she's mint isn't she!!

Montgomery, I have tried this already, but it's very random and seems to work when it wants! Locking with the key always works though.

Very nice pic!
Maybe try the boot lock.
My boot would not work with the key and could not use the interior dash central lock switch. It would lock then unlock. Until I changed the ecu/locks/keys then it worked fine.
Maybe worth going round them to see if they all lock with the key. Just needs a clean maybe?

T2FFN, sorry mate, you snooze you loose!! If it makes you feel any better, I paid nearly the asking price, which was more than I was really willing to, but it's such an awesome example!

Welcome along and I agree, your car looks absolutely stunning. Do your wheels have a little logo embossed in them?

scal_LE33, thanks!

patch234, yes, they are ETA BETA EB51 alloys.

Just so everyone knows, I did not take that picture! That was one of the pictures where the car was advertised.

It does look great from that angel though.

Has no one else have any ideas on my central locking problem?

I sometimes have the issue of the central locking not working at all. My indicators will flash ie the alarm setting, but the doors will not lock.

I have to unplug the central locking box (under the drivers seat) leave it for a minute (actually less than a minute) then plug it all back in again. This seems to resolve the issue.

I don't know why it does it though confused

It tends to do it more when one of the locks is frozen and one unlocks but the other doesn't. However, it did it just the other day for no reason at all. It's a pain in the ass to be fair.

Nice car.

Ah, that would explain it. I do love the seats in this one. Hope you enjoy it.

Barmybob, those pics are stunning! A big factor in me deciding to buy the car.

jame5, if that sorts my central locking problem out, I will love you long time!! It's driving me mad at the moment!
