Hi Chaps

I have just fitted a narrow band AFR and i am not sure if it is working correctly - It is very erratic and flips between lean and rich? i know they are not very accurate but i thought it would settle within the optimum markings.

If anyone can enlighten me i would be very much appreciated.

Cheers
Mick

At idle it'll flick back and forward like that as the ECU adjusts fuelling automatically, but at full throttle it should settle on a fairly constant reading, maybe going up/down slightly as revs increase to redline.

Pretty sure it just looks like a disco gauge at all times. If I wasn't on my phone id dig out the video to show you

On idle or partial throttle it's fairly pointless (disco lights as mentioned) but at full throttle it should be rich and not moving much, if your lean on full throttle that's very bad.

On full throttle you should have at least two green lights on the gauge - they dont give an accurate reading, but if the fuelling is changed you will notice the reading change comparatively.
