My injector number 2 ceased yesterday.

Since I'm planning to upgrade some parts (turbo, fmic and so on), on the near future, what injectors do you recommend and what's the best place to buy them?

Thank you

How much power are you trying for?

Standard injectors are good for 320 bhp depending on engine condition 1 new injector is only about 60 quid

I'm planning around 340/350. For what I've read so long ago (I must begin to dig out all the info again), I was thinking to buy a GT28RS with a .64 housing. Is this good for the power I want to achieve?

I've already realized how lucky are you on that part of the planet!!!!

Some days ago I asked how much do you pay for Selenia racing and a mate pointed me to a dealer who sells 5 litre cans for 34 quid. I have to pay 43 Euro for a 2 litre can here!!!...

...And 150 Euro for a single injector! frown

I'm sure you can find a S/H injector for peanuts in the parts section who will post to Portugal.

Or you can get Bosch greens 440CC and get Flea to send you a chip.

I've heard a lot about Flea chips, but now nothing about them. Probably this is a question for Flea himself but is mapping strictly necessary on 440cc with the original turbo?
If yes, how can I map his chip? And what are the advantages/disadvantages of using 440cc with original turbo?

You don't map his chip he writes a chip that will work for your setup. The reason why I suggest 440CC is because once you decide to upgrade the turbo etc.. you already have the correct injectors and just get another chip for your new setup.

As I already said just buy a S/H original injector in the parts for sale and cross that bridge when you are ready to change your turbo.

I've been searching around for greentops and it seems that they are no longer in line... Where they replaced by a new injector?

They don't have to be Bosch greentops. You can use the ones below. In fact these superseed the "greentops"

Hi,

You don't need to upgrade the injectors if you are staying around 350 bhp.
Change the fuel pressure regulator to 3.8 bar (OE 3.0 bar) and chip from FC Performance and you have the setup never dreamed smile.

I have ran many years (earlier) with GT28RS 0.86 + OE injectors with power around 350 - 360 bhp without any problems.

I have let my OE injectors cleaned/measured by local Bosch and they flowed 360 cc each. Bosch "bibel" informs them to flow even 370 cc.

At 3.8Bar and 330cc the injectors will max at 350-360 BHP. You don't want to run at 80%+ duty which you will have to especially in a hotter climate than Finland. You are so close and pushing the limits of the STD injectors they can burn out. Yes you probably will get away with it but I strongly suggest you step up to 440CC at 3Bar when you put on your extra mods on.
