I've taken KJ off for now.

Thanks for this; this is giving me a better idea about how many I need to make. Some of the parts are only economical if I buy in large quantities, which is a big outlay for me.

Don't forget me lol - I don't know if it would be feasible & save you work, but I would be willing to buy a kit of parts for an adjusted price & make my own - or do you have to program & test them all in house etc

I could make my own surround & house it aswel.

I'd be open to anything that would both save you time + me abit of money

Unfortunately I can't program the chips except on the circuit board, so I tend to test in three phases to avoid too much wastage: power supply ok, chip and comms ok, display ok.

This time around I will be restricting the number of options available on ordering; managing all the gory details last time was a nightmare. So the only options will be:

16v/16vt/20v/20vt
Left/right/no mount

With a small discount for no mounting plate.

They'll come with a standard set of values, which you can change with a USB cable and terminal program.

Cool smile Put my name down for one then definitely smile 20VT RHD. got money, like I say I can make my own mount & house if it saves you time & me a bit of dollar, if it's not a huge price difference though I'll have a mount included.

Ive been wondering....is it possible to run two widgets simultaneously, and both showing different lines so that 8 parameters can be monitored at once?

Unfortunately, no. If you want to do that, you're better off with one of those in-dash PC installations running startrek.

I'm the same KJ, I'd rather have the vent, I'm going to put mine in a box in the glove box so always within reach.

Plan is to test the proto in the morning. If that works, I'll order the circuit boards, which will take at least a fortnight, and then go flying for a week in Greece.

Assuming I don't land in the sea or halfway up a cliff, I'll start the group buy when I'm back.

Prototype works, it seems - but until I can find out why three different MAFs all report an error and won't let the engine run properly I can't go any distance to check in detail.

Will report soon.

Count me in please, even though I have an old MK1 I know it won't last forever. Think I might have "widget-itus"

Would these be built as a one off, or as a continued run?!

I'm planning on getting a 20vt next summer so would be interested!

Barnacle, you mentioned in a post ages ago that you could add in options to display mpg & miles till empty. Would you be doing this for the new batch? Reckon I'll take one regardless, love gadgets!

OK, guys, you convinced me.

I've just spent several hundred quid and ordered the circuit boards and carbon fibre mounting plates.

I don't expect them to arrive before the end of the month, and I start a new job about then, but I'll be delivering as fast as I can in order of, er, orders once I have the bits.

Please do not order them here - see this thread http://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1129037&#Post1129037 instead.

Thanks,

Neil
