Oh dear sounds like a total nightmare for the lad!
Main thing is no1 was seriously injured..there was a coupe on ebay the bonnet had flew up and dented the roof on that too.
I guess as it was a meet people had shown engine's and it just wasnt fully down v easily done.

Upload them to your Photobucket account, hover over the photo you want to post and it will come up with a list of options.

Copy the code from the one that says direct link.

Then click the fourth symbol along,(looks like a tv screen/window) on your reply box for the forum.

It will come up with the words 'image popper'.

Click on that and a box will appear. Paste your copied code into that and the photo should appear.

To check, go to 'preview post', before you click reply.

Today started off quite well, but didn't end so well sadly. Was good to meet new people as always, and those catch up with those I'd met before.

Epic fail with Jason's mellow yellow coupe locking the keys inside then as they were removed nearly doing it again right after...lol

few to look at, wish i could do those image pop thingies frown

great meet but should have known the flavour of the day when JBT's gearbox spread itself all over the road. then that lad locked his keys in his car, Reub is/was stuck on the m42 and to cap it all poor Johnny had his bonnet blow up in his face, breaking the screen, sunroof and bonnet.

lovely to meet you all, hope to again soon but without the attrition rate we saw today

An interesting day frown ! Although interrupted by a few disasters, it was well-organised and well attended. Many thanks JBT, especially from those who benefited from your expertise during the day (myself included). Thanks also to Porkypaul for (almost) arranging a beautifully colour-coordinated line of Coupes at Donington; he really needed a sheepdog!

The poor Sprinty and JBT's beast apart, I hope everyone got home safely, and see you again soon.

Good to see so many Coupes at the meeting, terrible shame for the Sprinty Blue who suffered the bonnet flip-up, a real mess frown - it was certainly a very quick car wink

John, hope your car is sorted soon

Tim, thanks a million for the Turbo

T, Proccy, Pete, Matt, etc good to see you and everyone else who turned up.

Hi all,i am the guy(jonny) with the smashed in Sprinty.
First of all i would like to thank everybody that attended me and the cars aid.I really appreciate your kind help,in cable tieing the front down so i could get home, clearing the glass of my seat, lending me a coat and Tom and co for looking after me on the drive home. You are all stars.JBT i cannot give you enough respect you are a life saver....
I still have a sore neck and a large bump, but im fine.Having a look with JBT earlier and it seems the slam panel/bonnet locater catch was not in the correct place, hence why this happened...i had just changed into 4th after 3rd gear 7k...when it flew up.Hopefully the roof can be sorted if not i will swap the running gear onto my black one.Sorry to hold people up on the A6.A least it wasnt just me with problems that day.lol
