I'm thinking of getting a dump valve.

Firstly is this a good idea?

Secondly, which one?

I have £150 max to spend.

Cheers

Hi mate.
Standard coop recirc valves are pants anyway aparantly, iv got a baileys and its pretty alright, if not a bit too much (ooo look here I have a turbo in my car) haha can other guys comment on the theory of fitting DV before charge cooler and not after like normal. Saves the dumping already cooled air and charge cooler doesn't waste its time so much, from a book I read anyway.

I use a Forge DV006. Had got it from a GB over here years back. Works well.

Forge DV006 is the most common choice for the Coupe - reliable and performs well - I've had mine for over seven years and 200,000 miles

As i recall the Forge DV come with a choice of springs (colour coded). So if you intend to go Forge then you have a choice on spring set. Spring rating to the boost pressure you're running. I think mine is the soft one which is green and most common among coupes.

I have an atmospheric dump valve on mine so I can scare old grannies on the pavement.

Forge split-R - mines set to 50 atmos/ 50 re-circ, but you can plug it for 100% re-circ

No need for spring rates as its adjustable smile

I have the Turboxs dv on my coupe and think it must be quite rare in this country as I've never seen another one.

I think it's pretty much the loudest dv you get, which of course is why I love it. laugh

Forge DV006 is great, works best with green spring IMHO.

Ditto

Thats exactly what Barbz/Flea has set mine up with. You can buy the extra springs off ebay, but only fit a stronger spring if really needed. Forge is good as is and excellent quality.

I think I have a unique UK set up as I imported (and Rog fitted) the Synapse DV:
