So, finally, at last, the time came to jazz up the paintwork on the new purchase. Been waiting ages to do this First impressions were .... definitely never mopped before, loads of stubborn tar and random black marks. Some random deep scratches and the entire body was full of swirl marks. (Those fine circular scratches you see in direct sunlight!) The process... Rinse Wash Clay bar Mop with white hexlogic pad and Menzerna S500 - Orbital pro mop, not a DA Wash again and detail brush all nooks and crannies, incl. door and boot shuts Seal with Carlack Wax with Collinite Final finish with detailing spray I did intend to mop twice, one with the deeper cutting S500 and then again with a different pad and polish (Ultrafina to refine the finish further). But time ran out due to having to go to a meeting and build a huge trampoline for the daughter! Will do this before Spa. Interior and engine bay remain to be done, doubt I'll have time for these on this visit home. Though I did want to get the bodywork protected as she'll be stood for a fair while. Pictures don't really show how glossy she looks as it was dusk. The satin black wheels came up a treat as did the entire car - really pleased.

Looking almost new! As much as everyone said my car looked nice and shiny, it could do with a mop to get the job done right. I love the yellow when it's all nice shiny too

Thanks Joe, Adam and T.
Steve, it typically takes about 5 hours - 7 hours if refining further. A typical cost at a detailers is around £300 to £350. However, the paintwork will continue to look great for at least a year afterward so long as you follow the correct wash procedure.
Plus, once all the swirls and scratches are removed you have a deeper and clearer look to the colour. It will stand out in other words

Thanks all. Yes a private plate will be bought, waiting till I go back to Azerland to do this as it will give me something to do at night. Nello - the spoiler will be sold with the boot lid as I am fitting a MS spoiler and zender rear lip soon. I am a big fan of yellow and black too coupe_intergrale. In fact, I may even go as far as to say that this is my favourite coop yet! I really like it. Kinighty - You know you want to sell them, so just tell me the price Edinburgh - It's okay, the wife won't be driving it
