Lol, I'm not that brave and have waited all week to do this, as I need the car nearly every night. I won't be driving it in the dark until Monday night now, so have plenty of time to allow for mistakes, emergency posts on here and calls to nismo Nothing too bad can happen though anyway, only 12V A fuse or whatever may blow, but easily replaced and lights can easily be put back to normal working condition if led wiring, etc can't be sorted. Worth a try and if it doesn't work, I'll wait until I see someone competant enough to do it for me (nismo)

silly question but as explained in the how to and here - this installation with the wiring also followed - takes the normal lights (side and driving) power and feeds it to the led rings, that I get - but when the footbrake is pressed the normal brake filament section in the "normal" bulb will light up and the rings remain the same brightness .
or does the brake light bulb and the led rings also light up.
I am guessing the first right ? if so does the normal 2 filament bulb have to be replaced to only light when braking (single filament only bulb).
I have modded a set of lights and will be installing soon just wanted to ask as when I see pics and movs (thanks T) the leds are lit up but it does not look like the normal bulb is also illuminated.
can anyone shed some (sorry "light") on the question.
Originally I was looking to use the leds as side lights and have the top two light bulbs illuminate when braking.
any thoughts

like it lots - brings the coupe a bit closer to more modern look without chaving-it.com
Well done all. Edz thanks for the link chapper - and I like the red red option - just know I would not get away with it over here.

Originally I was looking to use the leds as side lights and have the top two light bulbs illuminate when braking.
That's exactly what they do, if following nismo's how too Led's stay on as side lights all the time. Brake lights light up as they normally do, with the led sidelights staying on. No need to change the bulbs, I haven't. Led sidelights do not go off, until you switch them off. The 'normal' sidelights don't light up any more, as the led's have taken their place, but all other lights, light up as they do normally. Hope that helps?

Can somebody let me know how much they have been paying for this little mod? I just checked the eBay link and was surprised that two strips of 30 led's were over £100!!!

They are about 9-10 quid for each strip, so im not sure what you have been looking at! I thought Nismo posted up a link further up this page that takes you directly to the LED strips...

The leds that nismo linked to were £5.49 including p&p, for a pair, so as we need two pairs, total cost was £10.98. No way would I have paid over £100 for some led strips Either there's a mistake somewhere or the seller is trying to cash in on the sudden mass purchases.
