What do I need in the car again for driving through France and Belgium etc?

There's a high vis and a triangle in my boot already I believe.

Does it come with replacement bulbs for EVERY light?

Sod that, i'll just take the ones out of my porto and keep in the glove box.

Yes, just take what spares you can. That's all I'm doing and hope I can blag the rest if I get pulled laugh

Taking a full set of spares would mean me buying another set of hid's, etc, which I'm not doing.

I'm sure if you get pulled over shiny, we can slip a few bulbs into the car without them noticing laugh

I've got a spare set of HIDS and bulbs. Bloody French indeed, but they do make nice cheese and wine thumb

High vis jacket = my cycling jacket or workman top

First aid kit? FFS.

The list is worse than prepping the car!!

While I'm here, thought I'd quickly mention that Poundland sell things like travel adapters and first aid kits, so worth a look there before paying top prices for similar smile

Ok, things to clarify:

European health insurance card - ??

Car registration document (V5C) - really?!?
Insurance certificate - ok
MOT certificate - again, really?!?
Warning triangle - never owned one!
Spare bulb kit - spare HID set
High visibility jacket for all occupants. Not to be kept in the boot.
Headlight beam converters - Where from?
First aid kit - poundland or similar!

Aargh...!

I think you can get the health card online or post office.Just stick a bit of tape on your lights mate. But to be honest dont even bother ,we can sort it at the campsite.
Do make sure you have all you're documents though.

Nobody seems to be bothering with headlamp converters and seeing as most/all the driving will be done during daylight hours, we shouldn't really need them.

Otherwise, insulation tape would do as an emergency smile - Poundland laugh

Spare headlamp bulbs - Poundland solar lights work better laugh

Warning triangle, about £4 from Ebay

European health insurance card: Too late for you to apply now anyway most probably!

Bugger, health card takes at least 10 days to process. I though my old E111 would suffice? Although, tbh, I've not taken anything like this when holidaying in Euroland for years??

Well you should then mate. If you end up needing a hospital or doctor you will have no way of reclaiming the expenses that you would need to pay.

So nice to feel like I'm being lined up for a hospital visit looked out for Matt smile

Right, wiring them to the battery it is then. It's a little excessive, but with you around, I always thought it may be required!

Some travel insurance companies try to get out of paying the part which would have been covered using the European health card.

No surprise there then.

It's a fantastic track, but I wouldn't say it's the best in the world, simply because I haven't driven them all. But I have always dreamed about driving on 3 tracks.

1/ Spa - done
2/ Monza - was there last year, but no luck since the Italian club moved the date without letting us know. frown
3/ Monaco. Which either will never happen or means getting a classic car once and hoping to participate in a classic race there. Did go there two years ago though, followed the track on foot for a bit.

I'll be doing Zolder in June in an F3.

And... Somehow I'm really not interested in the Ring as a track.
