I prefer my Toyos to the Falkens; just a little less road noise IMO, although it could be because the Falkens on the Moon VT6 wheels are 225s whereas I have 205 Toyos on my Scottie. Also the Scottie is noisier because of the exhaust and the atmospheric dump valve.
Bear in mind that the Toyo T1Rs are now out of production although you can still buy from stock. It is just down to personal preference really....

As long as they won't see sub zero then Toyo R1Rs are as sticky yet rain friendly as you'll get. Have them on mine now and they are in a different class to 452s but have wear rate to match. They can crack at -9c so definitely not for winter. Only hesitation would be the imbalance of only having two. Certainly they'd need to go on the back.

What are the motorway noise levels like relative to the 452s? Nowhere near what I'd expected given the reviews. On good surfaces no different to a normal tyre. On concrete etc then probably about 20% louder than what you might expect. Certainly not an issue. Compared to the 452s that came off they are much quieter but worn tyres make much more noise and the R1Rs are only 2 weeks old. Cannot comment relative to T1Rs as I've never tried them. They are a little firmer, you notice the joins in the road more but no tramlining.

hi tia - either of those tyres you mention are fine products, just go for the cheapest option you can find for them

Hi I need two new tyres but only use car in the summer for 1 or 2 thousand miles a year so wear not an issue was thinking of Falken FK452 seem to be slightly better than toyos according to comparison sites.I know it has been asked before but just low mileage that might change things need to get them fitted before friday. tia If you're only doing 1 or 2k a year, then you may as well get some proper dry weather, track day tyres. Cheapest are Hankook RS2s (and they're very grippy compared to FK452s), but even Toyo R888s will last years at that lower mileage. Falken 452s and Toyo Proxes T1Rs are both all weather tyres that do it all VERY well. I don't see the point if you're only using it for dry weather fun?
F****** b****** thing...

If used in the dry only then lots of options. Not sure there's much at this level that match the R1R in the rain. Still not sure I'd fit only 2 of any of these though.
