Hi,
In my P reg coupe, there appears to be no 'aerial' as such, and no 'holes' for it anywhere on the body that I can see.

There is a wire which may or may not be related to an 'aerial' function, on the left hand side of the dash nr. the Tax Disc holder and thingie for the alarm? Could that be aerial related?

Reason I ask is, on the original head unit and my replacement one, you can only get one radio station (210 FM) and even that is quite fuzzy!

On my Nissan I could get loads of different FM stations, plus Five Live, Radio 4 longwave, etc etc (same stereo)..

Anything that can be done about this ? Replace the aerial (should I find it!) or booster, or some other magic solution?

is this a unique to me problem or has anyone else got an invisible aerial and poor radio reception?

What's the Aerial Amp??

Certainly there's a wire for the aerial behind the Stereo, which I have connected to it?

I dont think it's a problem with the Stereo as this worked fine in my old car..

aeriel amp is to boost the signal, its possitiond in the back pas side upper inttrior quarter [neer the back windscreen on pass side] the wire for the aerial has to be wired to a switched live either by the head unit or other sorce, maybe its not live?

The signal amp is supplied by the powered aerial wire from the headunit. Make sure it's connected up as most people don't bother as they (quite rightly) assume that it doesn't have a powered aerial.

Thanks guys, I'll have another look later.
Getting the Stereo out again grrrrr.

If it works :-)

I doubt the powered aerial wire is wired up, as I didn't have a powered aerial on any of my old cars..
