With so many UK Coupés again taking part it is a far cry from those early days of just Peter, Boosted7, Magoo and me. You were truely missed Bob The Coopfather seemed to have it all under control by the looks of it don't you think?

What a fantastic weekend, even without doing any track driving myself It was great to meet up with the regulars again and meet some new people. The organisation was top notch Thanks for the passenger rides. The word 'monster' is often overused when it comes to describing cars, but JBT's really is. The way it worked with slicks was Committed driving as usual, but smooth as well If you get bored of that car, I'll take it off your hands. Glad to see that most cars/people made it unscathed. To those that didn't, come back stronger next time At the start of the weekend, my chances of having a coupe again was around 20%, it might be around 30% now I will be back to Spa Thanks jonny, The car is perfect setup now for me. After years of heartache and wanting it delivered a perfect package, handling, brakes, and blistering power. last year i touched bumpers with the supercars this year i beat Lamborghini Gallardos, supers,Ferrari 360 CS,430's,355's and had half a lap trying to overtake the V8 powered Ferrari racecar before taking him easily on the straight infront of the crowds. Once i was in front i was making time on the bends and humiliating him on the straights. Priceless..... This current custom gearbox made cornering so much easier. No wide drifting, just pure grip which is what SeanC saw on the hairpin. So much grip saw me sideways on most bends but easily controllable with the engines torque. Thanks to Pete and the board for organising it,was faultless yet again. Great event, but was sickening seeing the yellow flags come out in our session followed by a badly smashed sprintey in view. Its always a risk everytime you put the helmet on and your not the first by any means. Hope your ok Keiren and back home well,.

Considering I hate my photograph being taken and usually manage to avoid anyone with cameras, you've managed to catch me in quite a few shots without me spotting you Alesi

Ha, that's some crit! Can't imagine how much fun your lad had too, good for you for putting in all that effort! Makes me want to do something similar with mine [help I have 3] before I'ze a too ancient and before I get told off yet again for not going [you know who you are ] If you have 3 Cars there is no excuse! I'm planning already : Ferry - overnight Newcastle to Amsterdam then 3 hour drive to Spa. Total driving time one way around 5 Hours. As opposed to around 13+ by Car all the way. We can stop off at one of those lovely Coffee shops they have in Amsterdam

Massive thanks to all involved with organising Spa 2012. I very nearly didn't make it in my Vicny but after resolving the issues from the Friday/Saturday she drove like a dream Sunday with only the single downer of another boost pipe popping off while I was out with Marco. This year it's been a manic build up, a sticky start but it all ended with some great track time, pics and memories The camp site was mega fun and made life very easy with it only being 5 minutes from the track. We all had a great time and the FCSS crew hopes to be back next year even though I said I can't keep doing this! Thanks to Magoo for his spare expansion cap (I've got a replacement here for Reuben mate ) along with the beer and rocket fuel alcohol Pics and videos to follow on the official thread.

Will you be needing the official 'slow moving traffic' escort service next year, Joe?

I was also doing some research on long distance ferries, mainly the Hull-Rotterdam or ?Bruges? last night, seems to me the most sensible way to go From this POTW that amount of driving before trying the track is not good news - sounds like you made the best of it in spite of it though, but the way back must have been tiresome. Coffee shops?? I know just what you mean, I'm up for it Broke the news of this possibility gently to Mrs Ed last night, just back from A&E an hour ago Are the dates for 2013 up already? Surely not, give the maestro a break! Oh and btw guys don't all rush to tell me who the Coopfather is, I found out already from my foreign correspondent Beards are no bad thing, eh, Mr P

Dont bring any of them it'll be cheaper. Unless you need them to keep you sensible, which is always needed in my case Correct, dates are not known yet I was just doing pre-planning do give a rough estimate on costs. As I cant spend as again, as I spent this year

Dad and I arrived back safely yesterday afternoon after an extra 3 nights spent in Ghent and Bruges.
As usual a big thankyou is owed to Pete and anyone else involved for all the hard organisational work. The Spa weekend was absolutely brilliant.
Another thankyou is owed to Joe and Gill for their hospitality and for helping with the language barrier is restaurants etc. Cheers guys.
And also thanks to Dan & Jodie for sharing the chalet with us and doing the booking. Staying at the campsite was great fun with so many familiar and friendly faces.
This was my second time at Spa and was just as good as the first. Maybe do it again next year eh?
James
