I have started to look at ferry crossings. So far the best deal I have been able to find is Dover to Dunkirk booking through http://www.ferryto.co.uk/offers/index.html which links to Aferries. £46.60 return
Route Depart Arrive/Duration
Dover to Dunkerque Fri 27 Apr 12 08:00 11:00 2hr 0min
Dunkerque to Dover Sun 29 Apr 12 20:01 21:00 1hr 59min It is only possible to book this ferry for £46.60 by ticking the "price compare" box on their site then selecting Dover - France, then choosing Dunkirk on the next screen. Any other way brings the price up to £50.00 return.

We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using. I even unplugged my own.

Excellent Pete Proccy can have a look at this and book me in as his passenger, can't you proccy I can indeed - but if we all want to travel together we'll need to discuss and agree what times we're going/returning. What times are you aiming for Pete?

That was the one I was thinking of, the timings work out pretty well both ways.
We used it in 2010.

We just like to cruise across France and Belgium and take in the scenery at a leisurely pace, say 200kph It's not a bad time, tough on the hangover from Ashford but beats the traffic around Brussels and gives time for the Friday night welcome piss up party Come on, join us

Me and bro are booking ferry tomorrow. I may have to bite the bullet and eat a large slice of humble pie and join the ferry goers, at £39 return I'll save the cost of a grand parade versus eurotunnel.

If any of you are using the M25 beware of the roadworks around the Essex area, i moved freely through them at 3 am yesterday morning ,but peak time will be mayem. They will still be there in April i imagine.

And this is one of the reasons we go down Thursday night to Ashford, we're then just 30 mins away - last year going through the roadworks on the M1 and M25 would have seen us miss the Eurotunnel
