This forum has the how to guides, a good mod. Team, a good community sprit and with our it, we would all be up shit street at one point.

This might have something to do with scumbags using this forum to steal money from members of our community. Rules are a pain in the backside but they generally come about after an incident has happened, their aim is to try and prevent the same thing happening again.

It would be nice to think that everyone using our club forum has good intentions but sadly this has not been the case. It's not too nice to have to keep dealing with forum and club members who have been ripped off.

As for starting a whole NEW forum

If people wish to discuss Coupé matters outside of FCCUK there has always been the alternative & popular Coupé section on the Fiat Forum. These fellows also offer an alternative selling route for those who may wish to evade our selling rules.

As for it being an information resource. Almost all of the information & content on the FCCUK forum has been provided to the club & forum by users, members & Fiat UK for the benefit of all other club & forum members. Almost ALL this information is available for FREE and, Unlike most other forum, the ownership of material is held by OP. The only exception to this being materials that have been released to or that are owned by the democratic UK registered Fiat Coupé Club.

As a personal opinion i wouldn't consider being part of a forum or club for Coupés other than this, for many reasons.

If indeed this new one is being populated by people banned from here for what are apparent acts of theft etc then you'd be mad to trade on there. And really, apart from a place for the banned ones to chat, what's the point?

All the information, how-to's, practical help from real people, specialists, discounts, community spirit and meetings are through this forum and all the work and effort put into this place can never be replicated on this new forum thingy.

Why accept something so substandard in every respect to this place? Frankly i'd rather deal with that Nigerian scammer, at least his English is acceptable

As most of the posts have been started by "The Audio Guy" I can only assume he must have started this forum himself.

Was he banned from here and have an axe to grind?

A thread of (at this point) 22 posts is hardly everyone is it? And looking through previous posts there's possibly a handful offering criticism - some of which is known to be accurate. Certainly there may be nothing on their website yet that we're allowed to see, but the text i received asking me to join up was much less than complimentary about this forum.

I think you'll find most people are ambivalent to them to be honest, and a few have even wished them good luck - boy, they're going to need it if they want a forum for serious coupe owners. I look forward to how they handle the first " I payed for some parts right, but i aint had em"

As I understand it, they might introduce a paypal system linked to the forum so that no one could be scammed. This will mean the admin would have to spend their time making this happen when it's a free forum for everyone and no one will be asked to pay for a membership.

People are quick to critisize and say it's all about ripping other people off, when no one takes the time to see what it's really about.

Personally, I'm too stupid to appreciate the irony of moaning about over-moderation of users on here, and then moaning about being criticised on here by the users of this forum.

Hopefully that means I can now join the cool kids on the quiet forum.

Then why have I paid £15 for my membership?
