District 9 was ok, interesting concept but why would a race with clearly superior technology and weaponary allow itself to be treated in quite the way they were?

Has anyone seen the "New" The Thing movie?

its a prequel of the 1982 classic I believe. I loved the 1st one (which is the 2nd one, the 1950's black and white one - Thing from another World is also pretty good)

Infact have purchased 1980's The Thing on VHS, DVD and HDDVD. Not seen the new one however.

I will of course be off to the cinema to see this little beauty

Yup, seen the 'new' Thing movie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, hubba, hubba, but other than that, it was quite difficult to spot any real plot difference from the JC version.

Ironsky was the film funded by fans from the net, park brain at door, load up on popcorn and enjoy, looks like it'll either be a cracker or complete shite.
