Not sure, on the one side the car is testament to me picking up and learning a new skill that I thought I would never be any good at, and as all my paid work is digital and doesn't exist in the real world, its nice to see something physical that exists that I can point at and say "i did that"

On the other hand the holiday with my partner, the gigles, the laughs, the drunken nights getting lost and only speaking broken German. I couldnt pick one above the other.

Just for you Tim, on looking through this years pics, this one of my old 16vt still makes me smile;

Paul - have you been restoring that coupe? It looks mint mate!

No...It only has 59,000 kilometres and absolutely no rust , not even surface rust underneath....beautiful clean example.

It had some sticky plastic in the parking brake area which I have had cleaned up.

She is scheduled in for an engine-out complete belt change and i am switching all hoses to red silicone and I will be refinishing the cam covers too.

There is a jet like hiss of the turbo on hard acceleration that I believe is a leaking blow off valve that I must trouble shoot and get fixed.
