Birmingham City Centre!
Yesterday I had a chance of using Birmingham's City Car Club and up the road is a Fiat 500 twin air.

So, me and Callum (CallumMGF is his user name on here I think) decided to take it out for the afternoon.

Well, what can I say? Driving this car is probably the most fun i've had with a new small car with a small engine in a long long time.

2 Cylinder engine with a tiny turbo, 0-60 in around 11 seconds and sounds great! It sounds like a typical small Italian car from the 1960s.
It certainly has a lot of poke around town also. Great little handler also, you can really throw it about!!

This is a car that is certainly well worth a drive in just for the fun factor.

If I was in the market for a small economical city car I'd choose this one every time!

Cracking! smile

Fun it may be, but google "Fiat 500 Twin Air MPG" and you'll find LOTS of complaints about the quoted figures being miles off real word usage (in many cases around 50% less than the near 70mpg quoted).

Wondered about one of these for when my daughter starts driving next year.

Turbo MPG figures (especially small engines) can be miles out if they are ragged

I think there was a 5th gear web tv I watched. The bloke took it out on a run and got around 32?mpg much much lower than the 50mpg I can get out of the 1.2 4 pot we have.
At the moment its sat at 49mpg over the last 900 miles with mixed driving not really trying to be frugal

When I drove it, it were saying around 55mpg but I soon brought that down. The engine is so easy to rev!
