As I'm sure I will post (without much enthusiasm) elsewhere, I bought a Mégane 1.5 dci yesterday, but it is in need of a bit of fettling. I don't know Cambridge well enough to have any garages in mind, so if any local forumistas can recommend we somewhere decent and trustworthy, I'd be very grateful. Not at all bothered if it's a Renault dealer - in fact I'd probably prefer an independent.

Thanks

If you cant find a recommendation on here then try the good garage scheme or honest john recommend a garage.

West's Renault, out by the airport, Newmarket road ish.

I *think* if my memory serves me right, they are behind the Total/Esso garage down by the park and ride - not 100% though, but that area anyway.

Thanks Shiny. Do you have experience of them or do you just know they are there? I'm almost deliberately avoiding Renault dealers on reputation, but if they are decent it can't do any harm...

Sorry Jim, no real personal experience, just have a vague memory of having to deliver to them once before when I was trucking.

Might be worth having a chat with them at least - if only to get a quote under your belt for any work/repairs etc.

Well, I took the car to a small independent called A and J Cartech (recommended by a colleague) - right opposite West's Renault!
Seems good service so far, their tyre partner has matched the online price from blackcircles.com for the Falkens I wanted.
