It's also nice to hear that someone wanted to save a coupe rather than getting rid, especially as it's an LE.

I saw this when it first come in and seen the progress along to what is 1 of the best coupes out there. Well done JBT.

That was where alot of people were saying whats the point when they saw it on the ramp.
The final result saw those same people eat there own words.
In fact some even questioned if it was the same car.

Just checked out photos....about 3 times and they're amazing. I know you'll find this hard to believe but other than parts needed for MOT's I haven't spent a great deal of time or money on car!!
I joined forum in April this year and saw how good some of the coupes out there looked, so i thought it was time my Rusty Heap got some TLC....never realizing how big a job it was going to be.
Fare play to John he did advise me that cost wise I'd be better off looking for another coupe but once he said it was possible to repair then the decision was made.
So 6 months later i'm on a train to Loughborough - think i was more excited than i was when i first picked it up from showroom 13 years ago! Had a picture in head of how i hoped it would look like but when dust cover came off i couldn't believe how good she looked. I checked reg plate half a dozen times to make sure it was my car. She is fantastic.
I had no idea how much work has been involved or the number of hours that must have been spent unitil today when i looked at photos.
I'd like to thank John and the guys who worked on LE 140 for doing a quality job.

So overall was it worth being without coupe for 6 months, for doing 3 x 300mile round trips and for costing a wheel barrow full of fivers......bet your chod it was!!

Well done for sticking at it, well done to John and the team, and by the sounds of it, it has been all worthwhile

yes definitely worth it.
I kept asking John to have a look at some photos but he said no i'd have wait til it was finished and now i see why......think i may have told him not to waste his time if i'd seen how bad it was - so i'm so pleased he didn't.
I might even go and give her a wash today.....this will be second time since Xmas.....one more wash and that will equal the total number of washes she's had in the last thirteen years!!

Fantastic looking car Marty I was hoping catch it when it was finally completed, it looked amazing before it went for it's final spit and polish.

Shame you never saw it because it was impressive. When John took the dust sheet off i was speechless....and that does happen very often!! Anyway dont go telling John - we dont want him getting all big headed and stuff!!

Looking forward to seeing this again soon for its checkover and to finish off a few little jobs that we couldnt get the parts for in time.
