The car has now got an MOT (im not currently planning on tax/ins, but it should make scrutineering a bit simpler) 10w60 oil, 5.1 dot and new coolant going in tomorrow, and geometry set up on friday ready for the weekend Ninja

quick update, not much been done on the car, since its been running fine. added a 1mm oil restrictor onto the turbo purchased an aftermarket fan controller due to the camber mod needing an a slight tweek required to achieve corret camber. i was running 0° at mallory. now ive got it set to -1.8° gave the trailer a service. next weekend while most of you fcckers are away at spa, i'll be venturing up to anglesey circuit Ninja

went to PPC (19/5/2012) which was fun. Some weird and wonderful machinary there First session went pretty smoothly. Session I unfortunately blew a boost hose off in the second session, and again in the third. (and the sessions to too short to fix the issue and sufficiently get back out again, live and learn) Also managed get a passenger ride in JBT's beast. AWESOME! Next, donnington Ninja

Enjoyed a nice wet morning at donny on friday (my first wet track day), made even more interesting by 75% of drivers holding MSA licenses, due to a club meeting the following day! (although to be honest most were respectful of the few 'trackdayers', a few weren't) Saw a lot of red flags on the morning, a few serious smashes unfortunately! had my first proper spin in the car at the bottom of craners, going through the old hairpin managed to stay in the confinds of the tarmac though. started to dry up towards the afternoon, allowing me to push the car a bit harder, and get a real feel for the track. a few nice bits of kit, buddy club kitted out DC5, a Golf R32 single turbo, few radicals to name a few. Met a few nice petrol heads. All in all though, a good day had. Donny is a fantastic track, will definately be doing it again in the future. Ninja

very much undecided what to do with the car this year, due to other commitments i have little time and a shoe string budget anything to the car this year.
so, do i;
A. put the car up for sale as is. The car is currently road worthy and has an MOT.
B. strip the car completely of any unnecassary wieght? cheap way of gaining more. With no starage space everything would end up in the skip (no turning back).
C. Break the car, as is always the case, due to spec the car is worth more in bits, but this would break my heart after the effort, not to mention the hassle.

Ok, its been some time since my last update, and the car hasn't really done a fat lot other than collect dust, so I decided to pull my finger out.
Unfortunately towards the end of 2012, the turbo started to make a very strange whining noise on boost, it did not seem to affect performance, but something was not right. I have since lost positive all boost!
I have check all pipes, and bolted connections for split/breaks, and have deduced it must be the turbo itself
the turbo and downpipe has now been removed (and replaced the with standard items just to keep the car mobile), so I can investigate the issue.

Bit of an update;
after removing the turbo from the car, and then the actuator from the turbo, it felt a bit stiff. Has it pressure tested and sure enough it was sticking (both open and closed!)
New actuator now fitted, and I will hopefully re-fit the turbo in a few weeks, and she will be back to full health.
