I would aim for around 9 am, the queues should not be too long at that time.

After 10am there can be long waits to get in.

Anyone up for a convoy coming from east along M25 Kent / Essex / SE London? A quick pitstop at the M25 services Clacket Lane might be a good place to converge. Last year we managed to get about 5 start from here.

To hit the 8.30am gates opening at Brooklands we'd need to aim to be leaving Clackets by 8.00am. (www.viamichelin.co.uk reckons 31mins to do the 46km). Leaving any later risks getting consigned to the mercedes world parking compound.

If anyone's interested then suggest: Clacket Lane Services by 8am M25 motorway (between Junctions 5 & 6 Westbound /southern side). Postcode: TN16 2ER. Meeting at the fuel station parking area as opposed to the service area car park. Then onto Brooklands M25 to jnct 10; A3; A245 KT13 0QN
(fast track entry for ticket holders via the Campbell Entrance off Brooklands Road (B374) by the JTI Members Hill office block).

I havent been since the very first AI day, will we not be assigned a designated area if they know 40+ cars are expected?
Not that I plan on arriving any later than 9.30 via Ace Cafe, but I hope I dont get relegated to the Mercedes world compound

We are assigned the same area as in the past 2 years where 50+ cars attended.

Even so it is a good idea to arrive before 9:30 - 10am just to avoid the queues.

And remember not to bring a barbecue!
