Opted out of buying the Carbotechs as ive heard they squeel incredibly and are pretty harsh on the discs.
Ive had Pagid Blue pads and they have been quiet and lasted fairly well but want a little more bite/performance.

So im going to stick with the Pagids but instead of Blue im thinking Black, Grey or the Yellow r19.
I dont do track work but have a fair amount of power and want a little more than the Blue.

Also looking on the website im getting confused as they have Carbon based and Ceramic???

Any suggestions or experience please, would be great.

Thanks.

I've had several successive sets of Yellows (RS29)

They have slightly worse cold bite than Blues, but when hot, they are truly amazing. They are an endurance pad, designed to last for a full 24-hour race.

They aren't as good as Grey (performance-wise) but they last MUCH longer.

I'm not known for being gentle on my brakes, but I get around 12,000 - 15,000 miles out of a set. they are fairly harsh on discs - I usually get through one pair of discs to two sets of pads.

Finally, they are quite dusty, so it pays to wax your wheels when you clean them, as the dust is easier to get off

I guess it all depends on what their intended use is Maurizio.

RS-29's on track simply fell apart on me after 2 track days (around 5 hours use), and less than 2k miles in total. I also know MattM had an identical experience on this compound. 24 hours my eye. I've had a partial refund from Pagid for my troubles.

On the road though, they don't squeal. At all in my experience! As Nigel says, they aren't brilliant from cold, but will be more than sufficient for road use when up to temperature. So they may be the perfect pad for you.

RS29's will not see my car again. Carbotechs, a mythical race compound from Ferrodo and from what I've heard Carbonne Lorraine simply blow them away for stopping power. I remember Begbie giving me a demo of the XP8's before I ever used the brand, and, in Marcos words, I needed a new spine smile Admittedly that was in a different caliper setup, but I can sure vouch for them in the standard brembo 4 pots.

But, the carbotechs squeal like hell. Not that you hear it when braking hard on track. But for this, they're probably not the pad for mainly road use!

Ive got greys.Lasted around 5k and two trips around spa race track so far with loads of meat left. Pretty sure they dust quite alot though. Unsure of the cost. Fine from cold also.
Great pads,no fade or problems
