So does the car still drive for now? If so are you afraid it won't be able to do the trip?

yes the car does drive fine, however its had a lot of bits added to it which need a remap if im to take it on boost, im not prepared to pay for a remap if the engine is on the way out. Plus i wouldnt want to break down in spa as it will be hell trying to get the car back

That's fair enough. If it drives fine I'd be tempted to just go for it when taking into account what an epic trip it will be. Plus, it might be (hopefully not of course) the last time you properly use the car and what a way to see it off.

I drove to SPA last year and loved it, so im lucky that i have done it. The car will be repaired and will be on the road well in advanced of next years trip so i think I will just enjoy this year as a stress free passenger.

Gutted for you. Mine's garaged at the moment. It's like a little man-cave, I go in there, clean her, do odd jobs and such. It's much less expensive than being on the road but still gives you a little joy! It's not so bad

It's definately a good place to be, unless you're with proccy.
