That was a good race. Kimi proved very clearly that you can only push the tyres so far, too

Wonder what Merc have done to get their tyres working so much better Agree. Although it will be interesting to see how they handle the hotter temps. Last year Red Bull struggled in China and Hamilton looked strong on the cooler track and we know how the rest of the season panned out!

Wonder what Merc have done to get their tyres working so much better According to some of the reports I've read, Merc overworked their tyres in Melbourne and couldn't even switch them on in Malaysia. Weather conditions notwithstanding, it seems that they adjusted everything to "middle" and it all worked. In the conditions in Shanghai at least...!

Anyone join me in enjoying seeing Herr Fingerwagger struggling (and being passed by Webber) ? That was definitely the icing on the cake for me!

I think the fact the three stoppers couldn't get past the two stoppers is what made the race. Hamilton was held up by Perez and almost got caught out by a much slower Alonso. Vettel then couldn't pass Kimi and that caused a huge train, second to tenth to all be bunched up behind him. As soon as Kimi faltered the flood gates opened and the fun began, all too late to effect Rosberg though. I'm sure he would have been ripe for picking if those three stoppers had been able to get clear air to catch him. All in all a good strategy call from Mercedes and a great win

Studying the films seems a sensible step to take, particulalrly as he accepted he could improve his positioning. Pity Button didn't make his guys watch it.. As for lacklustre? He said he is going for consistency and point scoring. It seems to be working. And once he fires up..
