Ditto Kev.

I STILL miss that game. Developing players, competing in the champions league (or whatever it was called back then)

Some serious rigs there! I could never get away with having that much 'clutter'. I'd always dreamed of having my own room in the house set out like an arcade with all the best old consoles/games. Of course this will probably never happen. But maybe with a lottery win?
I was never into Sensi Soccer blush But my bro played it constantly and so did most of my mates. It's probably the most popular game on the Amiga. I recall they did 'Sensible World of Soccer' a couple of years after too.
I did have a demo disc that had a game of SS in which the ball was a bomb. That was fun!

Not sure about 30 years but by christ there's over a hundred hours gameplay to come near completing the game 100%

Wish they would though laugh

I agree. ff7 was groundbreaking on the playstation.

I fully completed in around 160-200hrs. Tbh, I completed it around 3 times, selecting different characters and making sure I got Vincent and Yuffie.

Here you go:

"On the Amiga Power Coverdisk 21 one of the demos was Sensible Soccer: England vs Germany, also known as Sensible Soccer Meets Bulldog Blighty.[13] This featured a mode of play that involved replacing players with soldiers from Cannon Fodder, and the ball with a hand grenade. The grenade would randomly begin to flash eventually exploding, killing any nearby players."

I actually started playing FF9 for the first time during easter.

FF7 and FF8 have been played to death on several occasions.

Never been a big fan of C64 or NES, but I started beck in the Amstrad 464 days.
Best game I played on the Amstrad was The Sacred Armour of Antiriad.
Groundbreaking in its day, both in the gameplay and in the graphics.

Other than that I have had an Amiga 500, PSX, PS2 and currently a PS3.

Aaaand........Diamond... laugh you have to fight it,it's not an option, think back towards the end of the game when your heading back to Midgar.Your on the world map and you watch it walking out of the sea,you then fight it,it 'runs away' towards Midgar and the Shinra cannon blasts it...

I know mate.I'm seriously thinking about buying it on the network.Have there been any more issues with security of card details etc?

A friend of mine had a walkthrough for it and it reveals LOADS of mini extras.Such as meeting vincents mother, tells you where to go to watch a sequence explaining how cloud ended up as 'zack' and loads more.
So I bought it off him when he got bored.lol.Just to get a complete 100%

Apart from an Atari STE (yes, sensi soccer was the best although we played a hell of a lot of Kick Off 2 also), the N64 is where it all started for me, with Goldeneye and the gold controller. Over the years I have spent silly money and for the last few years been getting rid of it all at a huge loss! Hey ho, it was fun while it lasted.

I have rather a large box of the finest N64 games which are going on ebay soon. I would say you need to play the Zeldas, Mario Tennis and Golf, Perfect Dark, 1080 snowboarding and a little known gem called World Driver Championship. Actually, the latter is probably crap now, considering how far driving games have come, but I would still far rather hack around 18 on Mario Golf than Tiger Woods 20XX. Also, four player tennis has never been bettered in my opinion.

I remember Kick Off 2 well, I think I spent longer hacking it than actually playing it though, haha.

FYI, Due to YouTube's increased 'video' length limits, there are alot of full game soundtracks now appearing on there.

I've been spending the last week listening to great soundtracks to games like:

Unreal
Command & Conquer (first version and Red Alert both had awesome soundtracks)
Quake 2
Carmaggedon
Wipeout (of course!)

I used to play KO2 so much. I still remember the name of my leading goal scorer (J Downs for England - obviously).

I remember that I used to break joysticks every 2 or 3 months. Once I actually snapped one lol

My other favourites where Robocop, Test Drive, Double Dragon, Outrun (and Outrun Europa), Bombjack and Operation Wolf.

Bombjack?

That was the wee guy that had a cape and could jump about really high? laugh

Double Dragon was a legendary game, but Golden Axe was so much better (plus it had a nice chick in it!! laugh )

Which brings us to Tombraider (PS1). Personally I never "got" Tombraider, so didn't bother, although my lads in Bosnia were desparate to find the "Lara Croft naked" hack rolleyes smile

Wipeout was a favourite which I subsequently bought on the PSP, proof you can't beat the big screen for gaming.

Another fave was Time Commando. I've just discovered the PS1 in our house has been Ebayed frown so my new found enthusiasm for retro gaming has been dashed..
