Tomorrow we take on Eau Rouge Good luck Simmo, he who dares! Mind you: Eau Rouge can also take you on. If I'm not mistaken a green wheeled coop was doing a 360 at the top of Eau Rouge last year.

Ive just checked in hotel de La source too! Making use of the wifi ;-) This is a very swanky place! And awesome location. Thanks marcouzze.
The traffic has been a bit crap all day though but randomly got in convoy with 2 other silver coupes which was fun. Yes one of them was me the other was mayzon. Yes it was a crap journey from Calais which I could have done without after my drive yesterday. Guys that crossed earlier missed the delays. A a much more enjoyable style of driving tomorrow though Top location for hotel and right next to track

Turns out that this run-off area is really really handy... particularly while going backwards! Pouhon

Some fairly random photos (some by me, some by Anita) which are still uploading as I write this: http://s156.photobucket.com/albums/t31/nailed_barnacle/Spa%202012/(Good points, though no photos of either: overtaking *six* 20vt under braking, in one move, and spinning with Petep as a passenger. I don't think my lil' coupe disgraced himself. Apart from the now-noisy wheel bearing.)

We got home a couple of hours ago. No problems with our car (well apart from NO brakes at all at a certain scary moment, which were accidentally tested by cars slowing down in front of us so we noticed it before we came down to the busstop chicane doing 130 and having to use the armco head on to stop us - thank you to JBT who replaced my brake fluid with liquid gold after that incident!!) but unfortunately Spa took a couple of victims. I'll leave the details to the people who were directly involved, I just hope our victim who had to go to the hospital for a small checkup of an eye (airbag) has been able to shake it off and will find a way to get himself and the passengers home.
Apart from that unfortunate event, it was marvellous again, with beautiful weather. Great to meet Top Legend Barbz and to see him enjoy the track so much! And great to meet some new faces and enjoy the company of so many fellow dedicated owners. It's been amazing, Joke had a great time,... BRILLIANT!!

Would be good to taste the atmosphere there before I'm certified

A20XXX was Hovedan, but Joe was driving the Vinci; Dan and Minime were in the truck. Seriously are you referring to someone's name or a small version of your good self? Or are the truckers part of the FCSS team?

The track will never bore me. I followed your advise and did the 15:00 "Grande Parade" session today in the Abarth. Now I regret not doing more track time, it was brill! Took down quite a few cars but CountryCruising's beast (I'm guessing it was him, chatted with the person afterwards because I had seen the cam on the side of his Coupe and hoped for some footage) was a bit too hot for the little Punto to handle. Needs better brake fluid as well. Oh, and a big cheer to Klaas and Theresa who helped transfer my console and camber bolts to - I hope - happy new owners.

Back home now with almost 900 miles added to the previous 173000 A big thank you to everyone involved in organising from me and Kenny (the Maserati driver). A great weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my first taste of Spa, I should be in a lot of the video footage as I got overtaken by just about everyone, but a combination of brakes that went mushy after a couple of laps and the urge for self presvation that kicks in more the older you get will do that to you. Hope everyone else gets home safely and the guys whose weekend didn't work out as planned are able to get things sorted soon. Will get some pictures up soon Gary

Maybe some moments to mention... 3,5 hours of waiting for rice table courses, then we told them to bring the bill, not the dessert. Marco. I will not say how happy I was to see him until he confirms a date for a slumber party at my place. Porkypaul. It's hard to let him answer a yes/no question with yes or no rather than yes or no. Which is why Mike was blown away by him having a 2 sentence conversation without any swear words. Another 'lost face' revisited, Sander: brilliant to see you again after 10 years! Pieter Alesi who came down to Spa again providing company and pictures. Lovely! D&J's project car. We really need more projects like this or even unlike this.
